Synopsis
Pulcherie’s Café is an intimate, site-specific monologue inspired by the philosophical writings of Alan Watts, exploring the fragile borders between desire, memory, and identity.
Inside a small café — part confession booth, part dream — Pulcherie, a middle-aged migrant woman, revisits fragments of her past: the men she loved, the cities she left, and the body she once called home.
Through poetic language, subtle physical movement, and direct eye contact with the audience, she transforms the café into a space of emotional and spiritual awakening — a meditation on presence, loss, and self-recognition.
Performed in Persian, with English surtitles or synopsis, Pulcherie’s Café invites audiences into a deeply personal experience where philosophy and emotion intertwine.
